A DOLLAR “FOR IRELAND”

“I changed out of my nun’s clothes and made my way to 770 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn. I waited for a lengthy period of time, as many women stood in front of me and behind me in a long line. When my turn finally came, the Rebbe handed me a dollar, and within in an instant, I found myself heading outside. Suddenly and totally unexpectedly, the Rebbe called me back. He handed me another dollar as he said, ‘This is for Ireland.’ I was positively thunderstruck. How did he know?” An amazing story about “the rabbi whose headquarters is Beis Moshiach,” as told by someone whose son had heard it first-hand.

THE JOY OF TORAH OPENED THE FLOODGATES

Rabbi Zalman Bernstein and his wife Shaindy, the Rebbe’s shluchim in Cochin, India, had been waiting for several years since their wedding to be blessed with children. At a certain stage they heard about a dollar from the Rebbe that helped many couples to be blessed with “zera shel kayama.” Numerous spontaneous events took place along the way, giving them the feeling that the path to receiving the long-awaited bracha had finally been opened. A very moving miracle story.

A LESSON IN “AN AROUSAL FROM ABOVE”

This is the first time that Rabbi Tovi Vahava tells this miraculous story that caused considerable excitement about six months ago, when he dozed off near the Shabbos table. Meanwhile, not far from his home, about four hundred young people were waiting for someone to come and give over a Torah class, but no one arrived. However, the Rebbe, the faithful shepherd, did not remain indifferent!

TWO SILVER DOLLARS AND A TWOFOLD MIRACLE

“At that moment I simply became speechless unable to loosen my tongue. This time, it was a different story – my daughters’ health weighed in the balance, and who knew if I would have another opportunity to ask the Rebbe for a bracha. I was very disappointed in myself.” An amazing story told by Rabbi Mordechai (Motty) Yadger from Tzfas about a miracle that began more than twenty years ago and reached its mesmerizing conclusion this past year.

THE REBBE’S MIRACLE CHILD

I decided to tell her about the terrible experience I went through last year and my overall difficulty in having more children. “I want to have at least one more child,” I cried to her, “but I’m emotionally broken. I’ve lost all hope.” It was specifically my conversation with this Chabad woman, of all people, who herself was suffering from a terminal illness, that finally helped me to lift this heavy burden off my chest. She listened attentively and with great understanding, and then she said, “Have you written yet to the Lubavitcher Rebbe?”

FROM SIBERIA TO WILLIAMSBURG

During the Tahalucha, Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Levkivker, one of the more prominent members of the Chabad community in Tzfas, came to a Chassidic shul in Williamsburg to spread the joy of Yom tov. Just as he was about to depart, one of the elder Chassidim asked if he could tell him a fascinating story that began in remote Siberia, where a bogus wartime trial was held for an exiled rabbinical leader.
