Hard Hat Miracles

Beis Moshiach went out to the construction sites of 1989 to hear about the $100 checks from the Rebbe, Crown Heights’s new neighborhood, the “extra” check the Rebbe sent, and the mechanic who began to walk after drinking a bottle of the Rebbe’s Mashke… .

I Missed One Dollar, the Rebbe Sent Another

Rabbi and Mrs. Bernstein were married in the winter of 5769. From the very beginning, it was clear that the two were going out on shlichus to prepare another spot on the globe to greet Moshiach. “After the ‘first year’, equipped with a bracha from the Rebbe, Melech HaMoshiach, we made our way to India and opened a Chabad House in the city of Cochin,” Rabbi Bernstein recalled.

“THE LIGHT OF THE EYES MAKES THE HEART HAPPY”

The class boarded the bus happily. They had waited a long time for this annual trip that was a welcome relief from their studies. They settled down and chattered. When the bus set out, they waved goodbye to their school, Beis Chana of Tzfas, and when they left the area they recited the Tefillas Ha’Derech.

Why Didn’t it Rain in Zagreb, Croatia?

Our story begins a little over one year ago, on Erev Pesach 5778. Rabbi Pinchas (Pini) Zaklas and his wife, shluchim of the Rebbe to Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, were in a huge bind. They were overjoyed that after much effort, financial and emotional, they managed to complete the massive project that they had undertaken with the building of a five story Jewish Center, which now stood proudly in the city of their shlichus.

The Paralyzed Holocaust Survivor & Lechi Fighter

It was during the years when a persistent, dangerous battle was being waged against the British who ruled Palestine. In order to get rid of British rule, underground organizations were founded that used various means, mainly ambush attacks against British soldiers. They attacked the British and official institutions. It was a fateful, lengthy battle for the tiny Jewish settlement in Eretz Yisrael, soaked with blood and tears

"He Knows What He’s Doing!”

In 1949, Mr. Byer’s mother, Itka a”h, was expecting twins. Sadly, when her pregnancy came to term, she tragically lost the babies. The doctors diagnosed that she had a life-threatening condition, to the point that they forbade her from becoming pregnant again as it would pose a serious danger to her health. It was only by a miracle that she managed to survive the whole incident.

THE ONE-POUND NOTE SAT WAITING FOR 31 YEARS

For many years, without his knowing why, a one-pound note was left unnoticed in R’ Avi Taub’s wallet, despite the fact that he had even changed wallets and re-checked its contents in the interim. It was discovered on the very day that Rabbi Dovid Katz, the Rebbe’s shliach in northwest London, needed special encouragement in the face of some serious problems he had encountered in preparing for his Chanukah outreach activities. An exciting and moving story.

RESCUED BY THE BAAL SHEM TOV IN RECENT TIMES

A group of Vizhnitzer Chassidim from Monsey went on an organized trip, a few years ago, to the graves of tzaddikim in Poland. According to the itinerary, they were supposed to visit the grave of Rabbi Elimelech of Lizhensk, author of the Noam Elimelech, as well as the graves of other tzaddikim. A packed and well-organized trip was planned to enable them to visit as many graves as possible.
