The Rebbe ruled about how to approach all the Rosh HaShanas of all years to come until the coming of Moshiach – that the kabbalas ol must be amidst plenty. * Chapter 7 of Rabbi Shloma Majeski’s Likkutei Mekoros continues, discussing how the Rebbe taught us in advance how to view the events of Gimmel Tammuz 5754. TO REVEAL THE KING: For Elul, when the king goes out to the field and graciously receives the populace, we farbrenged with R’ Elozor Kenig, mashpia in the Chabad community in Natzrat Ilit and a popular speaker, about recent events and the message we Lubavitchers are mandated to publicize. * About the war, about people being inspired, about anticipating the Geula.
The Zippel brothers of Milan did much for the Rebbe’s work in Italy and were involved in many secret missions throughout the Soviet Union. * On their frequent trips they served as a bridge between the Rebbe and the Jews behind the Iron Curtain and they also brought out valuable s’farim for the Rebbe’s library.
During these days of mercy and preparing to travel to the Rebbe, Beis Moshiach spoke with the one who is responsible for the spiritual preparations of a high percentage of the thousands of guests. * We heard about bachurim who use every free moment to learn Torah by heart, girls who learn with friends who are not Lubavitch, and children who transformed their homes with Moshiach. * “Meshichoi” are flying to Moshiach.
Presented for Chai Elul, the birthday of the Baal Shem Tov.
BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE: The most striking feature of this week’s parsha is the tochacha. At face value, it contains Moses’ very harsh threat of Divine retribution for future transgressions. Some of the most horrific curses are mentioned in this section.
Special shiurim in Halacha and Agada were given in Yeshivas Tomchei T’mimim in Kfar Chabad by Rabbi Eliezer Silver z”l and Rabbi Moshe Feinstein z”l who also farbrenged with the residents. * Beis Moshiach brings you a fascinating account of the visits of American, Litvishe g’dolim to Yeshivas Tomchei T’mimim in Kfar Chabad, fifty years ago. * Presented for 15 Elul when Tomchei T’mimim was founded.
As Chassidim around the world are preparing materially and spiritually to travel to 770 to spend Tishrei with the Rebbe, it is appropriate to share some stories about Chabad Houses built to look like 770. The truth is, every Chabad house in the world is the Rebbe’s home, but with those special buildings that were modeled after Beis Chayeinu the bond with the Rebbe is felt as soon as you walk in and maybe even before that, with your first look at the building.
To this day, only the political left in Eretz Yisroel has presented a concrete policy on the issue of the country’s permanent borders while the nationalist camp has merely settled for expressions of protest and opposition to the leftist proposals. To ensure the continuity of the settlements in Yehuda and Shomron, we must create a national vision based on the Divine promise of the Land of Israel for the People of Israel according to the Torah of Israel.
