The vending machine dispensed an extra can of soda, may I drink it?
If someone purchased a can of soda from a machine — or any other item from a vending machine — and more than one can of soda came out, the halachah is that they may take only one can, as the other can does not belong to them. Taking an extra can is a violation of three mitzvos — the positive and negative commandments of hashavas aveida, returning lost objects, as well as the negative commandment of “Do not steal.”

IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO GO ON SHLICHUS!
We often hear of a young shliach who, together with his wife Mushky and baby Mendy go somewhere very far away, both in the physical and spiritual sense. This entails great mesirus nefesh, to forgo being able to go down the street to the grocery store and enjoy the variety of kosher products there, not to mention kosher milk; or the option of going to parents for Shabbos and many more things such as schooling and a Chassidishe environment.

The Rebbe with the Chief Rabbis
On Tuesday, the 11th of Iyar 5749, the two chief rabbis of Eretz Yisrael came to visit the Rebbe. They entered the Rebbe’s room – the Gan Eden Haelyon — and were greeted by the Rebbe with great honor. The conversation went on for a long time, discussing a wide range of Torah topics.
