About shluchim and their yearning for their home base, the place of the meshaleiach, 770. * Although in most cases the Rebbe discouraged the Shluchim from leaving their flocks during the High Holiday season, a time when other Chassidim, young and old, converge on 770 from all parts of the world, their minds and hearts are with the Rebbe in 770.
By Divine Providence, the 900th issue of Beis Moshiach will appear concurrent with the Kinus HaShluchim, for the goals are identical: to do the one and only remaining shlichus of the Rebbe MH”M, Kabbolas Pnei Moshiach Tzidkeinu B’Poel Mamash.
The Rebbe himself accompanies his shluchim, “not just ‘a shtikl Rebbe – part of the Rebbe.’ Indeed, the Rebbe, in his entirety, goes with each of the shluchim.” The degree of caution with which one must, therefore, employ in his behavior is astounding: “They must know that when the Rebbe goes with them, he personally oversees every single movement they make, and he inspects their work in fulfilling the shlichus. Thus, it is imperative to fulfill the shlichus inscrutably.”
From the time of the Arizal until today, 400 years have passed. All the various decrees, etc., that have befallen the Jewish people throughout this lengthy period were, therefore, a result of a lack of hiskashrus to the Rebbe.
