HOW COULD MOSHIACH COME ‘UNEXPECTEDLY’?! ALL DAY I AWAIT HIS ARRIVAL

“B’hesech ha’daas” cannot mean “unexpectedly,” its literal meaning, for one of the 13 Pillars of Jewish Faith is that “I await his arrival [the coming of Moshiach] every day.” Clearly, anticipating the redemption is something that is encouraged by our Sages, contrary to the literal interpretation of this saying… * The time of the redemption is something that necessarily transcends daas, a quantum leap over all rational calculation

MOSHE’S OBSESSION WITH THE COMPLETE GEULA

The most enigmatic commandment in the Torah concerns the Red Heifer. This commandment involves taking a totally red cow, slaughtering it, burning its flesh, mixing its ashes with spring water and then sprinkling the mixture on a person who had become ritually impure by contact with a dead body. This procedure had to be done twice; on the third day and the seventh day after becoming defiled.

MY NEAR-DEATH EXPERIENCE AND BIZARRE ARREST

At first I tried with all my might to get my head above water, but when all my efforts failed, I realized this was it. I would end my life in the pool. I thought of my family and my shlichus in Kiryat Gat. It’s hard to believe that within seconds so many thoughts passed through my mind. * The moving story of Rabbi Sholom Dovber Wolpo.

THE SIGNIFICANCE OF NINETY

This Shabbos (Chukas) is the Shabbos before the Yemei HaGeula of 12-13 Tammuz. While these dates are celebrated every year, this year they are of special significance as it is the 90th (5687 – 5777) anniversary of the liberation of the Frierdike Rebbe.

THE LONG SHABBOS WALK HEARD AROUND THE WORLD

In a restaurant near the Marina Roscha shul sat dozens of bachurim from Tomchei T’mimim in Ohr Yehuda. They were there with their fathers and farbrenging with their teachers and rosh yeshiva, Rabbi Sholom Ber Hendel. There were niggunim and words of chizuk to prepare them for their trip to the Rebbe. This took place this past winter.

‘ON CLOUDS’ …IF WE ARE WORTHY

If the Jewish people, however, are found to have “great merit,” there is another manner by which the redemption can unfold – it will be, “with the clouds of heaven.”

FROM COUNTER-TERRORISM TO THE CHABAD YESHIVA

He was a boy from Haifa who almost got mixed up with the lowest elements of Israeli society. He eventually joined the IDF and devoted all his strength and energy to the secret Arab infiltration unit, where he went through a series of hair-raising challenges and adventures that changed the course of his life. Over the years, he acquired a considerable amount of personal wealth at various jobs on the other side of the globe, and it was only due to an inexplicable spiritual longing that he made his way to the yeshiva in Ramat Aviv. Today, he is chairman of the Smicha Study Institute. The surprise: the planned establishment of a new Chabad settlement on the Golan Heights. All this is only a part of the thrilling life story of Rabbi Zohar Yehoshua.

HOW THE DIAMONDS WERE FOUND

R’ Motti Gal a”h, shliach in Ramat Gan, was walking around and trying to decide which group he should join. Then he noticed someone familiar. He took a good look and realized it was Shimi, a friend from the neighborhood, who wasn’t yet a Chassid.
