On Motzaei Pesach 5751, I was sitting with some fellow shluchim and farbrenging about the special giluyim we had just merited. We spoke mainly about the Rebbe’s letter of 25 Adar which the Rebbe dedicated, in unique fashion, to the wonders that occurred during the Gulf War. The Rebbe wrote that these miracles were more apparent than those of Purim, and added that those who know what is going on behind the scenes comprehend more and more the wonders and miracles.

There are two getting ready for the Geula, the chitzon and the p’nimi. Both want Moshiach to come already. What is the difference between them? How can a chitzon become a p’nimi when, if he has such an ambition, that too is driven by external factors?
Each of us has a “barrel” that weighs heavily on his heart and that doesn’t allow him to be joyful. If we want to get rid of it, we need to arouse joy from a place where it does not depend on anything, but exudes from our very being. Through this joy, we will be able to remove the “barrel” and bring in the Geula.
