WHAT KEEPS HER GOING IN HER SHLICHUS

In her great modesty, despite being the wife of a dynamic shliach, she always chose to remain behind the scenes. For the first time, Mrs. Leah Tzik agreed to speak to Beis Moshiach – Ateres Chaya. She gives us a glimpse into over forty years of shlichus alongside her husband, Rabbi Zimroni Tzik, a”h.

IT’S NEVER TOO LATE TO GO ON SHLICHUS!

The trip to Vata Canal in southern India entails many long flights, with stops and changing planes, and then a trip for hours on a winding road, and then you arrive at your destination which is lacking even the most basic amenities. Even for Israeli tourists, being in these areas is sometimes a challenge of survival. * The truth is that it was always there in the dreams and ambitions of Rabbi Yaakov and Pessie Marom of Bat Yam, it’s just that for technical reasons, it could not happen. Not yet. Until Pesach Sheini which taught them that no situation is lost and you can always fix things. Their dream to go on shlichus came true because it is never too late.

A JOURNEY TO CHABAD OF CORSICA

Ever hear of the city of Ajaccio? If not, it would definitely be appropriate for you to familiarize yourself with the Isle of Corsica, where Rabbi Levi Pinson of France has spent the past several years working as the Rebbe MH”M’s shliach. Rabbi Pinson takes us on a unique journey among the ancient dwellings and cobblestone roads as he speaks about gathering lost Jewish souls, the Rebbe’s miracles, and the diligent and resolute activities to prepare Corsica to greet Moshiach Tzidkeinu. Fasten your seatbelts…

DEALING WITH AMALEK ON SHLICHUS

I went to get some inspiration for my personal battle with Amalek and spoke with shluchos Mrs. Chani Beckerman of Beer Yaakov, Mrs. Marina Fein, housemother at Machon Chomesh in Moscow, and Mrs. Mushky Shiffman of Maaleh Efraim. I asked them how they handle the spiritual Amalek on shlichus, i.e., the coldness when it comes to doing mitzvos, the doubts, and those who “believe in their hearts.” I also spoke with the shlucha to Almaty, Kazakhstan, Mrs. Leah Cohen, who tells about her victory and revenge against the German Amalek, may his name be erased. * Presented for Parshas Ki Seitzei, which ends with the mitzva to remember what Amalek did to us

MIRACLES IN THE CITY OF Medellín

Two shluchim and their families working in the city of Medellín, Colombia. A small community, much assimilation, and numerous tourists from all over the world. If you want to see clear examples of Divine Providence, perhaps you should take a trip to Medellín, Colombia

GATHERING JEWISH SOULS IN KAZAKHSTAN

In the summer, it gets very hot there. During the winter season, temperatures can drop as low as forty degrees below zero. Nevertheless, a young couple and their small children came to Kostanay, far from all Jewish centers, fighting against the heat and the cold, also of a spiritual nature, for the purpose of reaching another Jewish soul, all with great determination and tenacity. The story of a shlichus under very harsh conditions.

NICARAGUA CHABAD HOUSE CLOSED

Due to the intense hostilities that broke out in Nicaragua in recent months, the country has become dangerous, hovering on the brink of civil war. “It has become scary here,” says the shliach in S. Juan del Sur, Rabbi Dovid Attar, who had to close the Chabad House and hurriedly leave the country. “In order to protect our family and the Jews who live here, we had to tell people to stop coming and help all who are here who want to leave Nicaragua.”

SETTING BOUNDARIES ON SHLICHUS

When it comes to Ahavas Yisroel, what are proper limits? How can family life be preserved while reaching out to every Jew? What happens when a mekurav can have a negative influence? * Ofra Bedosa spoke with two women, one far away and one in Rechovot. Yael Kripor is a shlucha in Cusco, Peru and Ruth Mifi has an open home on Shabbos and Yomim Tovim

“THE DEMONSTRATIONS AT THE ABSORPTION HOSTEL WAS OUR WELCOME"

R’ Hirsh Farber, shliach in Gilo in Yerushalayim, had to wait months for a visa and then the long hoped for day was on a Shabbos. He decided to forgo it and start again from the beginning.

THE HOLY DOLLAR: FROM AUSTRALIA TO MEXICO

The unbelievable story of a dollar that the Rebbe MH”M gave decades ago to a chassid from Australia and recently made its way, quite miraculously, to the vacation city of Cozumel, Mexico for the dedication of a Chassidic Talmud Torah there, accompanied by an amazingly Heaven-inspired letter in Igros Kodesh.

EIGHT CHABAD HOUSE STORIES

One of the solutions to bypass the “animal soul” that Chassidim use is the Chassidishe farbrengen. Jews sit together, say l’chaim, and tell Chassidishe stories and life events. Hearts open and a ray of G-dly light pierces the darkness of the “self.” * True stories which occurred at the Chabad House in Kasol, India that moved me.

UNDER THE RADAR: YOUNG SHLUCHOS

Fraidy Orgad (Romania), Mushka Lerner (Eretz Yisroel), Yocheved Raskin (Uganda): three young shluchos describe their early days on shlichus, which were not particularly inviting nor a bed of roses, and share the challenges they dealt with and the surprising insights they have come to. * A peek into the early days of small shlichus positions

SHLUCHIM, ACTIVITIES, AND MIRACLES IN BELIZE

While you may have never heard of the Central American country of Belize, Rabbi Menachem Belhamou, his wife Hadar, and their two children have been working there for two years on the Rebbe MH”M’s shlichus to prepare the location for the Redemption. How does this young family manage in such a remote setting, where civilization is decades behind the times? How did they build their activities from day one? And how did Baal Shem’ske miracles reach Belize? Another fascinating shlichus profile on the road to the Redemption.
