The beauty of women “expands the mind of (Supernal) man” by perfecting the world we live in. * Women teach us what we truly are – gold, “one who donates it is healthy.”
The uniqueness of Moshiach, his strength, is not military prowess. He is much more powerful than that. * Rabbis must be clear about the unique time we live in and their power to transform the world.
Where is the outcry when we are crushed like never before, muted and silenced? * Everything we need to learn has been entrusted to us. It is up to us to be the mouthpiece of leadership - and more importantly, to live it ourselves.
This year on Shabbos Shira, Jews will sing the redemption song, the powerfully engaging experience of rapture, represented by the number eleven - “You are one but not by counting.”
We are not meant to crush Egypt with sticks but to find a voice of leadership and confront even the biggest snake. Then the opposition itself willingly helps the redemption. * As the world rapidly changes, the Rebbe’s innovative leadership changes on a dime.
The pike resembles the Leviasan, whose open mouth effortlessly devours the great sea serpent. * The feast of the Leviasan is G-d’s pleasure in us for completing our mission in the world, avodas ha’birurim, “zev yitraf – a clawing wolf.”
The exodus contains a secret of how we can break free from everything that holds us down or limits us in any way - something that is possible even now, before there’s a throne in Jerusalem.
The Rebbe tells what he sees, no matter how earth-shattering or perplexing, drawing a line in history and saying “avodas ha’birurim is over.” * Our job is to live with the spiritual reality of victory, of geula, to such a degree, that it inspires others to follow suit. *
* “Stay the course” is the mantra of the status quo stewardship, effectively muzzling voices that need to be heard. * There is no debate. All we need is genuine conversation. *
As soon as Rabbi Gurary opened his mouth, to his shock and surprise, Reb Zalman Moshe gave him a playful slap. “Whatever you say of Atzmus,” he told his startled friend, “cannot possibly be true of Atzmus!” * The Rebbe’s teachings are truly radical and breathtaking, but they are meant to be practiced in our day-to-day lives and in our general outlook.
