The Beis HaMikdash was not destroyed in a single moment in time, close to 2000 years ago, in the wake of which there are the Three Weeks and Tisha B’Av … No! The destruction of the Beis HaMikdash is a daily occurrence! * What is the proper approach to such a horrible, ongoing calamity?
This drawing of the Frierdiker Rebbe was sent by a Chassid to the Rebbe in the summer of 5751 (1991). In his letter, he wrote that he assumes that this picture is from around the year 5680.

12 Tammuz 5733. 7:45 – Shazar arrives in 770 and enters yechidus; 9:15 – the Rebbe and Shazar come out for Maariv; 9:30 – the farbrengen begins, with Shazar sitting alongside the Rebbe and his security detail behind him; 2:00 – the farbrengen concludes and Shazar goes in with the Rebbe to yechidus; 4:00 – Shazar leaves the yechidus accompanied by the Rebbe, concluding an entire night spent with the Rebbe. This Shabbos (Chukas) is the Shabbos before the Yemei HaGeula of 12-13 Tammuz. While these dates are celebrated every year, this year they are of special significance as it is the 90th (5687 – 5777) anniversary of the liberation of the Frierdike Rebbe.
After his release from prison on Yud Bais Tamuz 5687 (July 12, 1927) the Frierdiker Rebbe was in imminent danger, the Communist Regime was looking for a reason to arrest him again, and it was of utmost importance to secure his exit from Russia with his family and library * The archives of the American Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) include some communication between the heads of the JDC regarding this issue, and a record of a meeting of the heads of Aguch in the USA with the JDC * Is the JDC partially responsible for the Frierdiker Rebbe’s arrest?

One of the challenging aspects of Bitachon is that our devotion to Hashem should be complete, constant and unchanging. How can this be accomplished when our lives are subject to constant change? Especially upon taking into consideration the fact that we operate with intellect and reason, which can easily change from day to day, or more often. What may seem logical one hour can be eclipsed by a more compelling argument an hour later.
That book is part of the very life of the Rebbe – in the past, the present, and the future, until the end of all generations (for “his progeny is alive,” as above). It follows that taking his seifer is tantamount to taking part of the Rebbe’s life, may G-d have mercy!
It is indeed within the power and capacity of each and every person to purify the Jews he encounters. Thus, it is also each person’s responsibility to do so. It follows then that one’s influence upon another is on account of the power of Moshe.
The Rebbe said that the Rebbe Rayatz’s sichos just prior to Yud Shvat 5710 were meant to provide us with a message as to how to understand the events that were to follow. * In the most recent sichos of 5751- 5752, the Rebbe reiterates in an unprecedented way that there will be eternal life as a soul in a body without any interruption (i.e., the Rebbe will live on forever without the need to experience histalkus).
